Yes!! I meant to say in my comment that I think one of the things that makes Maria stand out from the other influencers is that she is just so completely and consistently HONEST!!
Wow Maria! You nailed it all in this video. I'm 69 and I've been overweight most of my life. Four years ago I found out that I have major heart problems. I asked my cardiologist what I could to to prolong my life. She said loose weight and exercise. I literally worked my butt off. Walking sometimes up to 4 hours a day and I also started counting my daily calorie intake. It took me a year and 2 months but I lost 122 lbs. I've kept it off for 2 years on May 6th. My heart ejection fraction is back to normal and I feel better then I've felt sense I was in my 30's. Finally, I was able to wear the beautiful clothes I admired and watch everyone else wear. Snd so at this point, I don't care how old I am. I'm going to wear what I love and what makes me happy and if someone else doesn't like it. Honestly, I don't care. I worked hard to get down to 135lbs. I feel I should be able to wear what makes me happy. As long as I'm comfortable in what I wear and I love what I'm wearing. It always makes me feel beautiful and confident. That is what matters and is important to me. Ty so much for this video. You always inspire me. I'm so thankful that I found your channel.
Congratulations on taking care of yourself 😊I have lost 85pounds and feel, the same as you. I am 57 and wear what I feels looks good on me. I could care less what someone else might think. I love skinny jeans and mini skirts, but I also like baggy clothes. I love how I can wear baggy clothes and still look slim.
Hi Mary, Wow, what an amazing journey you've had! Thank you for sharing your incredible story with us. You are truly an inspiration! I'm so proud of you for making these changes! xoxo
Some great topics there. My favourites are dont follow trends, dont let anyone tell you what you shouldn't wear amd ignore the body shapes and colour analysis. Wear what you feel happy in and what you want to portray to the world. Thank you for sharing.
This video is so empowering! Bravo to you for doing this and we as women need to stop beating each other up. I loved how strong you sounded in this video. We need to lift each other up and yes, get rid of those rules!
I did the color quiz, and what do you know, it pointed me to the colors I already had. The chart does suggest things i didn't realize. I look better in white, than black. I am old and refuse to cut my long grey hair.
It's amazing how often we already know what works for us, and I'm so glad the "quiz" reinforced it for you. Keep you long beautiful grey hair! I'm sure you look stunning! xoxo
Hi Mila! So lovely to see you. Thank you for taking the time to watch and I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it and agree with it. Let's continue to empower eachother in 2025! xo
Great video Maria! Glad you were inspired to make it and to address some of these things head on! I think most of us if we really like fashion and we’re used to looking at ourselves in the mirror and we watch some content like yours, we either have or we develop an eye for what you identified as the all-important proportion - and seeing it on ourselves in the mirror and making adjustments as we create outfits until it “works” - isn’t dependent on understanding which category our body type falls into. And in the exact same way, we know when we look in the mirror whether a color looks good on us in general or on that particular day with that particular hair color, etc.. I’m 64 and blessed with good health & fitness and I have grown kids, grown stepkids, teen+grown grandkids AND an adopted grandson-turned-son who is in 1st grade. 🤗I dress for my preferences and my lifestyle. I like to look put-together and modern but modest whether I’m in jeans outfits or athleisure or more polished outfits. Being around other 1st grade moms is inspiring and so is watching your videos! Hugs to you!
Hi Karen, I'm so glad you understood the messages I was trying to convey and I'm so glad this is how you approach styling rules of proportion and dressing how you love. You are an inspiration and I hope to be as vibrant and beautiful as you as I head into my 50's this year. Thank you and hugs to you too. xo
I am a 36A bra size. Petite and curvy build, normally a US size 4. Finding a bra which fits is a herculean feat. Often times wear one of those inexpensive non-compressive walmart brand sport bra tops. LOL. Had to resort to a couple of carefully chosen demi cup bikini bathing suit tops (in black and white) to wear as bras...sometimes a bit of creativity is necessary. LOL Your advice is so empowering, and will resonate deeply with all who watch this video. :) Your narratives are always thorough and thoughtful. What a lovely channel you have.
❤ Two thumbs up for this inspirational video to women of all ages! I always enjoy your fashion ideas and especially your pleasant encouragement to have confidence. Thank you and keep making videos no matter what ❤
Thank you Maria, I really loved your message at the end about using positive language with each other. I really find that the best 'remedy' when I'm feeling down about myself is to appreciate and complement other women! It always makes me feel good to pass on a compliment, and somehow it reminds me to also be happy in the body I'm in and the age I am 💞
Hi Angie-Rose, You are so right, women need to support each other! I also love to compliment other women and spread positivity and I'm happy you do the same. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! xo
About time for bed here in Singapore😴 but I made a quick click when I saw your notification, Maria😍. Love this kind of video, such a refreshing start for me this new year…thanks dear🌷. Now I couldnt get to sleep🤭
Hello Maria Sunshine! Thank you for your body positivity video! I love the message of love who you are and that self-esteem is the most beautiful outfit we can wear! Excellent message that we should wear what we love which makes us feel good about ourselves. Thank you for your encouraging words and wonderful ways of expressing yourself! Keep up the amazing work! Hugs, Stacy 💛💛💛
I'm so glad you love it Stacy! I'm all about feeling confident and comfortable in our own skin. All women should be as kind and positive as you! I appreciate you so much. xo
This is such a refreshing take on fashion advice, thank you for not being afraid to go against the grain and give genuinely helpful tips. By the way, your dark hair looks absolutely stunning on you. It’s totally transformed your look. Thank you again for making genuinely helpful videos for women our age. Sending big love from Sydney Australia xx
Thank you so much, I love to hear that you found this helpful, it means a lot! I'm loving my brown hair, I just can't wait until it grows longer. So happy you found me from Sydney!
Maria, I am so empowered by your video. I have all the same sentiments and I am 72. I wear clothing that makes me feel beautiful and done same since age 5. Bravo.
Hi Mercedes, I'm so glad you are not afraid to be yourself! 100% it's jealousy that drives women to hate on other women! Thanks so much for watching! xo
Hi I’m a 60 youthful age grandma of 5 😄and I’m rocking my confidence core fashion for 2025 ( just sharing my beauty tip ) thank you so much for the inspiration and hipe in this time less dressing ♥️
Maria you are so right! Women are all beautiful! We should wear clothing that makes us feel beautiful and confident, why worry about other peoples opinions? Too many opinions out there and the one that matters is your own! 💖
Apparently, you have neutral-warm skin undertone. So, you can wear golden or silver jewelry, but golden fits better. Looking to you and your outfits from a screen, I would bet you’re deep autumn season
Hi Livia, Thank you so much for sharing your insight. I'm always confused if I'm deep autumn or deep winter. I've also been told I have olive skin. I'm happy atleast that I'm somewhat of a neutral so I don't have to think about it too much. Thanks so much for watching.
@ Indeed, temperature, for neutral women,is the hardest thing to see 😅 But, from my experience, olive undertone is much more common on ladies there are darker than you and lighter than black ladies. Besides, you have this “soft” high contrast typical from deep autumn and these brown and beige tones look absolutely gorgeous on you. 🙂
Hi Donna, It's always great to hear from women of all ages who are breaking fashion rules and rocking their own style! I'll probably change up my bras at 70 as well :) Happy new year! thank you for watching.
I dress by instinct and what what me feel good that day. If I make a mistake I will know because I won’t feel good that. I’ll be uncomfortable all day if I missed
Thank you for a great video and if we feel good in our clothes and how we look that makes us happy. Then we go out into the World and smile 😀 that’s me anyway 😂 I am 64 and feel good.
Maybe it was lost in translation but I specifically said you should ignore them and just focus on clothing that fits you well. I also said if you want to take it a step further then to focus on just balancing your body, not specifically labeling yourself a certain shape/fruit. I tried to simplify it to make it more understandable. Thanks for watching.
I hope you get millions of views on this video, Maria. It’s so empowering and uplifting, honest and vulnerable, and inspiring. Thank you ❤
Wow, thank you so much! I'm so glad you got that message from this video! xo

Thank you Marsha! I'm so glad you feel the same way. Yes we need to lift eachother up, not drag each other down. XOXO
Amen on the body type rules! Also hate the color analysis - I think it is so subjective. Great rant!
Thank you Bonnie! I tried to keep it light hearted. So glad you enjoyed it :)
It is subjective and also so confusing for no reason. No one has time for that
I did the color quiz, and what do you know, it pointed me to the colors I already had. The chart does suggest things i didn't realize. I look better in white, than black. I am old and refuse to cut my long grey hair.

Loved the video today! Appreciate the rant. Totally agree! Im 69 and wear leather pants… I will never dress “old”. Great make up look, too!

Great video, nice uplifting info. Thank you.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it Constance, thank you for watching!
I have gotten so much pressure through the years to cut my hair. Mostly from hairdressers. I didn't and get compliments ever day.
I love that you didn't give in to the pressure! Keep rocking your long hair. xo
I love fashion! I dress the way i feel not how others see me. It’s so freeing. Yes, I do get “haters” but I attribute that to jealousy.

Great reminder of “you do you”……love it! (although at 70 I do hate bras, but I wear super-soft sports-type ones)😊
Hi Donna, It's always great to hear from women of all ages who are breaking fashion rules and rocking their own style! I'll probably change up my bras at 70 as well :) Happy new year! thank you for watching.
Grazie per questo bel video.

Hi Cheryl, that is a great way to learn what works and what doesn't, listen to your heart and follow your feelings. thank you for sharing!
Love this video-body shape: carrot 😂😂
I think I'm a carrot too, mostly due to my shoulders, not my chest. Thanks for watching!
TIP: Always size up on shapewear.
that's good to know! I never knew that!
Thank you for a great video and if we feel good in our clothes and how we look that makes us happy. Then we go out into the World and smile 😀 that’s me anyway 😂 I am 64 and feel good.
Hi Amanda, Yes!!! I love your comment and I hope all women can feel good and smile, and not care about these rules so much. xo
👍 Tolles Video..👍
thank you!
FINALLY!!!
Thank you for watching!
And, let's face it, most of us are gaining, and not losing, weight. So a larger size will work better.
sadly yes it's harder to keep weight off as we age. Thank you.
